Decision market

Bet the next hit.

Deal a hand first. Before each hit, buy the safe/bust odds or make a 1-jbit call. Each call also takes the next card.

Read the safe/bust odds for 1 jbit, or call blind. Each call stakes 1 jbit and hits immediately. A full card reveal closes this market.

Reference model: uniform over currently unseen card identities, not a claim about human belief.

BLACKJACK 51 / LIVE RULE CARD · v2.1

One hand. More than one description.

Riemann AI is your in-house dealer. His spectacles, beard and short prompts accompany the table. After a card leaves a choice open, he tells you whose move it is and names the available actions. This rule-based character adds no thinking delay and does not change the dealer's play or payouts. His Blackjack lines are original game dialogue.

The table continues behind this view. Read a rule, change a setting between hands, or inspect the record you have made.

Change what the rule can see

There’s more in a hand than its total.

Two small experiments with the same cards. Try them between hands.

Table rules & a different experiment

This beta uses the existing Line Game cards. Change a rule between rounds to reshuffle. Your bank and history stay with you. The starting table uses shuffled order, flexible aces, and Riemann, a dealer who stands on soft 17.

The same seed, rules and decisions reproduce the same session. Published order is a known sequence, not a random deal.

  1. Get closer to 21 than Riemann, the dealer. Busts lose immediately. Equal non-bust totals push. Suits do not break ties.
  2. Aces adapt to the whole hand. In the flexible rule, count an ace as 11 when the total stays at or below 21. Face cards count as 10.
  3. Natural blackjack pays 3:2. An unsplit opening ace and ten pays a 1½-stake profit. Ordinary wins pay a one-stake profit. Pushes return the stake.
  4. Hit, stand, or double. Double on the first two cards of a hand: add the same stake, draw exactly one card, and stand. jbits must cover the added stake.
  5. Split, and split again. Matching blackjack values may split, including different ten-valued faces. A new hand that is again a pair may split again, up to 8 hands. Split aces get one more card each; an ace that draws another ace may split again but not hit. A split 21 is an ordinary 21.
  6. Riemann, the dealer, has a fixed rule. Draw below 17. The default stands on soft 17. Riemann’s blackjack is checked before player decisions. Riemann is a name, not a claim: this dealer follows the fixed rule above and says nothing about the Riemann hypothesis. No insurance or surrender.
  7. The shoe is finite. Cards stay out until the next shuffle. Fewer than 24 cards remaining triggers a fresh shoe before the next round. No mid-hand shuffle.
  8. Ⅰ changes what you know. One paid next-card peek per round costs 6 Area 51 jbits, with no change to order or blackjack payout. If you learned a future card earlier, that observation follows it into later rounds.
  9. Your bank belongs to Area 51. The shared reserve opens at 8 jbits and passively recovers one jbit every 5:10 while below 8. Blackjack winnings can take the wallet above the reserve cap.
  10. A reload keeps the same bank. Stakes, returns and unfinished hands are saved. Time away counts toward the refill cap. Loading a replay is read-only and cannot fund your bank.

All jbits are local play points. The 51-card pack and information peek are this game's additions; no casino strategy or optimal-payoff claim is made. Conventional blackjack reference.

The ledger records decisions and observations immediately, including an unfinished hand. Opening the table or exporting during play reveals the shoe and marks the active round observed. Hiding it again does not erase that knowledge.

Event Record jbits

One bank. Clear prices.

jbits are the lab’s play currency. Start with 8. The reserve recovers 1 every 5:10 while below 8; winnings can carry it higher. Reloading and switching games preserve the bank.

Action Price or award
Blackjack stake 1, 2, 4 or 8 jbits
One full hidden-card reveal 6 jbits
Blackjack odds view / forecast entry 1 jbit each
Correct four-choice Memory recall without a reveal +2 jbits; up to 8 per UTC day

These are declared prices. The reveal price of 6 follows the six-bit fixed-width budget for 51 identities; the recall award of 2 follows the two-bit budget for four choices. Neither converts play into a measurement of personal memory, surprise or learning. jbits have no monetary value.
